Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Security, and Financial Literacy on Competitive Advantage through Technology Adoption among Micro and Small Enterprises of Warung Madura using QRIS in Bekasi City. The study was motivated by the rapid adoption of QRIS among MSMEs, yet the extent to which QRIS adoption contributes to competitive advantage remains underexplored, particularly in traditional retail contexts such as Warung Madura. A quantitative approach was employed with a sample of one hundred stall owners and managers selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling method through SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicated that Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Security had positive and significant effects on Technology Adoption and Competitive Advantage. Technology Adoption was also proven to have a positive effect on Competitive Advantage and successfully mediated the influence of Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, and Perceived Security on Competitive Advantage. In contrast, Financial Literacy had no significant effect on Technology Adoption or Competitive Advantage, and Technology Adoption failed to mediate this relationship due to the lack of integration of the bookkeeping system in the QRIS application. In conclusion, the adoption of QRIS driven by convenience, technical benefits, and security factors has proven to be able to create a competitive advantage for Warung Madura.
