Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Basic Food Program in Bandar Lampung City based on indicators of program accuracy and analyze socio-economic factors that affect the probability of the adequacy of assistance for Beneficiary Families. The study uses a quantitative approach with primary data obtained through a survey of 100 Beneficiary Families and secondary data from related government publications. The effectiveness of the program was evaluated based on six accuracy indicators, while the influence of household income, number of dependents, education of the head of household, employment status of the head of the family, and electricity on the adequacy of assistance was analyzed using binary logistic regression. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the Basic Food Program has gone well in several aspects, especially the accuracy of the amount, quality, administration, and use of assistance, but still needs improvement in the accuracy of the target, timeliness, and adequacy of assistance. The results of the estimation showed that all the socio-economic variables analyzed had a positive and significant effect on the probability of the beneficiary families feeling the assistance as adequate. These findings show that the effectiveness of the Basic Food Program is not only determined by the distribution process, but also by the socio-economic conditions of the recipients. Therefore, increasing the accuracy of recipient data, the accuracy of distribution, and strengthening interventions that consider the level of vulnerability of households are needed to increase the effectiveness of the program.
